Chief Bill G. Follis


Under the leadership of Chief Bill G. Follis the Modoc Tribe has established numerous programs. Ventures include: Red Cedar Recycling, "The Stables," an off-track wagering casino, and reintroduction of a bison herd as a part of the Tribe's economic development plan.

The Modoc Tribe of Oklahoma is a federally recognized Indian Tribe organized under the Oklahoma Indian Welfare Act of 1936 with a constitution and by laws approved by the United States Secretary of the Interior on July 27, 1990.

The Modoc Tribe of Oklahoma has been doing day-to-day business since August 1, 1990, while at the same time working successfully with a number of federal and state grant programs.
